Welcome to Business/Enterprise

Business and Enterprise is a course that will you will be able to choose to do in Year 9 as part of your GCSE options. The course allows you to show and develop your entrepreneurial skills such as developing a business idea, working in team and communication. Along the way we look at all aspects of a business including how to market a product, how does a business keep track of its finances and how to ensure you get the best people working for your business.

What will I do in Business and Enterprise

  • You will look at how businesses develop their products and market them to customers

  • You will be given a business problem to research and solve

  • You will deliver a pitch for a business proposal

What could I do now to prepare for this in the future?

  • Watching programmes like Dragon’s Den and The Apprentice are great for business studies

  • You can also think about things such as your favourite computer game, Youtuber/TicToker or celebrity

  2. How do they promote themselves?

  3. All of these things are business skills.

  4. Taking risk, promotion, knowing your target market and keeping up with trend
