What will I need to purchase?

Any additional uniform items:

Black plain school shoes – polishable, must come below the ankle, not sandals/canvas/plastic/trainers etc

Black tights (at least 40 denier) – for use with skirts

Black socks (plain) – for use with trousers (not skirts)

Bag – big enough for an A4 folder

Pencil case – with pen, pencil, ruler, eraser, pencil etc (self sufficiency is positively promoted

Other Uniform Expectations 


Outdoor coats

Coats should be dark in colour, i.e. black or navy and should have no large logos. Please note, hoodies are not allowed anywhere on site once past the external gate.

Bag

Students require a plain school bag which can  be  fastened securely, large enough to fit an A4 folder.

Jewellery

No jewellery is allowed, except a wrist watch (smart watches are not allowed) and a Medic Alert necklace/ bracelet.   No body piercings, including nose and belly button are allowed.  If any student is thinking about having their  ears  pierced,  this  should  be  done  at  the  start  of  the summer holidays, as students will not be allowed to wear earrings or plasters over them.

Nail polish

Nail polish and false nails are not allowed.

Make up

Any make up worn by older students should be very discreet.  Students will be asked to remove make up if it is not discreet.  No false eyelashes etc..

Hairstyles

Hairstyles should be sensible and colours should be natural.  No student will be allowed into lessons with unnatural hair colour. Please check with your child’s Learning Manager before considering any dramatic changes to style or colour.    No offensive patterns should be shaved into hairstyles.   Hair accessories should be discreet, no scarves or bandanas (unless for religious reasons).

Other equipment

All students will need a pen, pencil, ruler and rubber.  A Scientific calculator, such as Casio fx-83, a pair of compasses and a protractor.
