What key messages about your subject area would you like to share?

Design and technology is a safe space where you can explore using a wide range of materials and equipment to enhance your creativity.

I love to inspire young people to explore their full potential. Being able to develop creative minds at such a young age is extremely rewarding and fun. My hobbies include sewing, designing, painting, baking and travelling.

Coming from Year 6 to Year 7 is a little frightening for some of you because of the worry that it is a new environment with lots of new people. I started at Outwood Academy Freeston in September 2019, so I felt similar feelings.

From my experience, I found that all the teachers and students are remarkably helpful. Students and staff will always be around to give you directions if you get a little bit lost. You will also be able to meet lots of new and friendly people; get ready to come and enjoy all your favourite subjects along with enrichment activities to suit everyone. I look forward to meeting you all.
